T&Y is arguably Lupe's best album IMO. It would be between that and the cool and I haven't backtracked enough to really give it that much thought, been too busy enjoying the new album.

It all depends what the criteria for better is.
Prime Lupe is easily a better wordsmith than Prime DMX.
But Prime DMX was by far a more complete rapper than almost everybody in the game, past and present.

There's a reason there's a phase called DMX'd the game. He took the entire rap scence by storm when he first came out.
Indeed. From what I heard I Am... woulda potentially been the GOAT double disk album.
Depends on the fan's preference. F&L and The Cool are great albums from the standpoint of having creative concepts, dope production and complex lyricism while still maintaining songs that have mainstream appeal that are accessible to the average fans.
Lupe's goals on T&Y were completely different from when he entered the game tho. T&Y arguably has some of the best production and intricate lyricism in his career but for this album Lupe focused on a more abstract approach with no intent to appeal to those outside his fanbase.

Dmx had more charisma and better delivery though.
i think t & y has some of his best beats and best hooks though. And lyrically Lupe stronger than ever.
