I'll also add that Its Dark and Hell Is Hot, Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood, And then There Was X is STILL prolly the best three album stretch of any rapper ever.

Ok, gotcha. Buuuut :mjpls: ....Face just bigged up Mural in that tweet. Everybody likes Mural. That's the only track that I find revisitable on Tetsuo.

Rakim says he likes Lupe, but that statement is almost decimated by him stating that he likes BOB also :heh:

My point being I've seen some of the most INCREDIBLE MCs in history say they like some of the most unincredible rappers (not saying Lupe isn't talented, just trying to make a point). I probably could find more dope rappers cosigning dudes like a Chief Keef than you can find dope rappers cosigning Lupe.

Mural is nice but it ain't even top 7 on the album to me.

And yeah some of the legends be tripping with the cosigns. But in Lupe's case there's A LOT of "new age" emcees that give Lupe his props. Even beyond that, guys like Ab-Soul, Wale, and Chance have cited Lupe as one of the GOATS on Twitter - those are some credible and talented rappers. Kendrick payed homage to his influence...

Rappers stealing his flows (looks at Azalea Banks :mjpls: + Drizzy on Room for Improvement) the list goes on.

The point is Lupe isn't going to be up there with the Jays, Nas, Pacs, BIGs, but he's not just some nerd rapper whose impact can be skipped over in the Hip Hop timeline. He held down that mainstream "lyrical Messiah" position for a good while until Lasers :trash:. After Ye and Wayne he's one of the most influential artists within the last 10 years for a lot of these new dudes.
