Nothing but shooters, how the 76ers beat them in the playoffs is one of the all time blunders to me
Ref fukkery that's how. The 2001 ECF is probably the worst officiated playoff series since the 00's

Philly had no business winning that series

But fukk George Karl anyway so :blessed:

Vince was better while Ray had the better career, though honestly looking at their careers they were pretty similar

Their skillsets are comparable, I mean Vince was better at playing above the rim but Ray on the Bucks/Sonics could yam on nikkas too, and while Ray was a better 3 point shooter it's not like Vince wasn't well above average in that department either.

Both good free throw shooters, could slash to the rim or be a catch and shoot guy, etc. I guess the major differences were that Vince had a post game unlike Ray, whereas you'd never see Vince run around screens like Ray and to a lesser extent Rip Hamiton used to do

Even when they got older and were relagated to second options and then bench players both were effective well into their late 30's (with Vince still going strong at 40).

Honestly the only thing separating them is the fact that Ray managed to get a few rings in a supporting cast role, cause other than that their careers panned out almost the same.

I say Vince, Cuz Vince's main draw was attacking the basket and being explosive mid range, his 2nd draw was his shooting

Ray's main draw was his shooting, his 2nd draws was his ability to attack the basket.

Since both are masters at their main draw I have to ask is Vince Carter a better shooter than Ray Allen was at penetrating and attacking the rim

Yes he was. Plus I've seen more VC shooting highlights than I've seen Ray Allen slashing and yamming on fools highlights

That had nothing to do with how good Vince was back then. He was legit

His supporting cast just was :scust: Philly might have beaten any team in the west besides the Lakers and Spurs so they weren't that bad.

Vince carter was a better player.

Better offensively.

Dude was more athletic.

Vince also isn't a slouch when it comes to 3pters & the clutch ability.

Vince Carter's post up abilities & passing skills are underated as well.

Defensively they were about even.

Only other players that could see Vince back in the day was t-mac, A.I, & Kobe

People who say he didn't have heart is crazy. I remember when the main criticism for him was that he was all athleticism which he made it a point to switch his style of play around to prove that he indeed had skills.

Ray Allen was just on better teams for the most part. That's not to say that he wasn't elite, but there's a reason why he wasn't looked at in the same light as the other premier guards back then.

Vince was supposed to take the nets and magic over the top. Never happened. Now he's allegedly a champion level player :stopitslime:

Vince will be considered the better player, because Vince was once in the discussion as a Top 5 player in the league. I feel sorry for those that never seen Ray play before C's though. Ray was a silent assassin that only BBall heads knew. I still want to know why those dudes (Hey-Zeus & Kobe) waited like 8 years to start their beef. They gave us classic battles.

Ray in Milwaukee was just as much of a slasher as he was a shooter
