Reason I can respect old school musicians criticism (or at least someone like Prince) is because back in the day it was truly much more of a Wild West situation when it came to music and music business.

People’s character got rounded before they got exposed.

When Prince died, I think Anderson Cooper was interviewing Stevie Wonder, and asked him what Prince song he thought was the song that he liked most or thought was most representative of his music. The Gawd Stevie said 'Vicki Waiting', which has long been my favorite Prince song. The groove, the lyrics, the joke about the woman who asked her lover why his organ was so small... perfection. Stevie confirmed that I have an ear for the musics. Thank you Stevie, R.I.P. Prince !!!
