The flag is a concentrated deflection tactic. It has gotten people to stop talking about the terrorist culture that bred Dylan Roof and countless others and the deaths of 9 innocent people into a innocuous debate about a 150 year old flag. A white boy plotted with others and literally assassinated middle aged and elderly black people including a government official. Classic diversion by the white media who knows how to alter the public sentiments. The rebel flag is a branch on the tree of white supremacy. What about the roots? Kill the roots and the tree falls along with the branches. They dont want to ever talk about the roots.

And that's why I think it's disingenuous. For it to take not just people getting killed but photos of him with the flag to actually do something about it it actually makes it seem like it was tolerable. It's embedded in some states flags for crying out loud. And this thread isn't for the people that's been fighting to r.i.p. it. This is for the people that are now jumping on the bandwagon because it's the hottest trend. They never spoke up before so don't try to act like you care now. Especially the companies that sold it for all these years.

Basically. Black people were still making incredible strides, while also cycling through some negative scenarios. If you got rid of every Confederate flag today, there would still be great strides made, but still negative issues. It's not a magic elixir...............................and besides the American flag is still up
