Now all of sudden people want to ban it. The whole debate is so disingenuous and petty. Faux outrage when it's really guilt. I say let it stay. Let it stay as a reminder of how racist this country still is.
Basically. Black people were still making incredible strides, while also cycling through some negative scenarios. If you got rid of every Confederate flag today, there would still be great strides made, but still negative issues. It's not a magic elixir...............................and besides the American flag is still up

..... if the Confederate flag is outlawed, there will be a fauxversy to take the American flag out of commission too.....and put up what in its place? What are they going to put in the place of the American flag? Not just the flag though.........if they start ripping down the American flag, they are also going for any related symbolism including the Bill of Rights and Constitution, cause remember black folks were 3/5 a human under these documents.
It's an oversimplified controversy, being piggybacked by other agendas. There are nuances to this thing, and I'm no Confederate flag apologist. Slavery is/was an evil institution. I said it before, while the Confederate represents to many a symbol of past oppression, in the same week the media gave barely any notice to Congress approving aspects of the TPP, which if approved would make our government puppets to a corporate board....and if you have no influence on policy making then that makes you a ...............................................................................................
