The reveal of paying for private security derailed an NYC mayoral candidate's campaign.

She was calling for the defunding of NYPD, when it was reported that her husband pays into a neighborhood fund for private armed security to patrol their blocks/walk people home or to vehicles.

She copped pleas about it, but never recovered. "Do as I say, not as I do"
:dead: That’s wild. A literal limousine liberal.

@RickyDiBiase I wonder what you'd think of Capitalist Realism by Mark Fisher since you always seem so convinced that there's no better alternative, it's pretty short, and I think you'd like it.

Its not about whether or i think there’s an alternative to any system or whatever

I work with what I got and move forward from there

When you enter the 9th grade studying to become a police officer, fire fighter, public utilities, nurse, doctor, should be mandatory the same way history or science is.
Nobody would want to be any of those things if you saturated the market.

Ironically, the core fundamentals of each of those professions is already taught in highschool. It's just that we didn't pay attention in highschool psych, or chemistry, or physics, or even shop class.

We had a whole section of biology class focusing on hemoglobin and other human health topics and the same two Asian kids who did well in the other classes were the only ones paying attention.

The beginnings of end stage capitalism.
But why only here? There are a dozen wealthy capitalist nations in Europe , one right north of us, and 5 in Asia and none of them have our problems.

This is an America issue, not a capitalism one.

:manny: I think you're selling yourself short, imagine if everyone had this mindset you wouldn't be enjoying whatever autonomy you have right now. There's nothing wrong with the long term view, anyway, it'd be cool if you gave the book a chance.

I guess I don't understand what private security is for when almost half if not a little over half the states in the US allow for constitutional carry. If you want to believe someone else is going to save or help you so you don't protect yourself then I guess that's what you're going to do.

I don't think it's about them saving you, more like shielding yourself from the legal headaches that come with you, private citizen, pulling a trigger vs armed security/private police force

Anyone who pulls a trigger in America is going to have a headache. There's no scot free way to pull a trigger and harm or kill someone and just walk away.

Darren Wilson, Kyle Rittenhouse, and George Zimmerman would all beg to differ. :unimpressed:

All fat cacs cried on the stand on national TV. Even when my mom's died. I waited til everyone was gone, went to to my car, shed a tear or two, looked in the mirror, told my self "quit bein a lil bytch." wiped my face and went back to work. Them cryin crackers are immortalized. They can't go no where without the stench of bytch all over them. I don't care how many people "support" them.

No I don’t read books by communists or people who killed themselves. Also under the free market more folks were able to enrich themselves ten fold compared to other economic system

A corpo police force is usually as sign things have gone to shyt.

When haven’t they been shytty?
