Furthermore... Fresh Prince has been on the air nonstop over the past 20 years (compared to Moesha, that is)

how come no one talks about the fat jokes regarding Uncle Phil?

Oh, is it because no one really cares, but since Moesha is the thing that everyone is talking about right now because of Netflix, that ppl just wanted something to talk about so they made up something that they thought would get traction?

:martin:

whole post is crack but that bold really hit different

:wow:

They have no outrage towards reality shows and it’s obvious some of them weren’t even alive or too young for these shows when they came out. It’s called clownin, cuttin ass, roastin etc. Get over it.

Sista my issue is the stuff was so light weight back then to the b*stard shyt we see on TV now. We could actually watch them shows with our parents, kids, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Now ask yourself can you watch any of this adult rated, x rated garbage on netflix, cable and reality tv with your kids, aunts, uncles, grandparents and parents. Hell noooo.

Yep that might be one of the few shows. The thing is I watched many of these shows growing up with my grandmother and aunts who were really conservative. And them shows were really light weight.

And they would even laugh at the jokes cause most of the time it was light humor and wasn't really vulgar. Even the adult shows in the 80s were pretty light (outside of show like miami vice, hill street blues, day and night time soaps)

I remember as a little child watching shows like murder she wrote, amen, fall guy, simon and simon, 227 and etc with my grandmother who loved all those shows from the 80s and 90s and rarely did they have true adult themes. And even if it was something like murder it was so light hearted and no blood was involved. Sex really wasn't discussed and if it was it was over the heads of kids. And profanity was rarely used. Outside of hell and damn.

Now shyt on tv and cable is to see who can out curse each other, show as much sex scenes and drug scenes as possible.

But weirdos on social media want to cancel some light hearted 90s shows.

Imagine still being concerned about fat shaming during a pandemic where if you’re under like 70 years old one of the only underlying causes is being fat. If that can’t humble your fat ass into losing some weight what will?

Who said she wasn't trying to lose weight? And fat shaming doesn't work anyway.

It was pretty a much a free for all on overweight people in the 90s in pop culture, school, and every other walk of life. If anyone says something evil to you, you should strike back with what ever necessary force you can.

Being Fat right now is NOT the Move. You're 90% more likely to die of Corona (if you get it) if you're clinically obese.

You're also more likely to die from covid-19 being black and poor, so I guess that ain't the move either.
