Death Sentence sounds like it could've been on Lake's 41st Side compilation from the early 2000s.

Just nasty, minimal, gutter QB shyt. :noah:

Al should dig Cormega out of the bushes and do an album with him.

I think Al is done and tired with working with QB heads except P and some of the few who bonded and trusted Al..

I know mega is done with all that crap and is a family man etc but u know?

Yea man it's pretty much just P, Nore, and Twin. Al said he'd love for Nas to come out to CA and crank out some joints together. Other than that can't think of anyone from Queens in a while.

The crazy thing is I remember around 05/06 thinking Al was beginning to fall off.

His shyt around that time definitely wasn't hitting as hard and it looked like he had ran out of ideas.

Now he's putting out some of the best music of his career. It's a total 180 from his early days too where he was that dude who you would get for a couple of bangers, whereas now he producing mainly albums and coherent projects. That was the one thing I had a problem with Alchemist back in the day. He didn't produce actually albums which is what we really judge great producers on. It was a track here, a track there. So I think producing full albums has improved him as a producer. It's not just about making a banger, but constructing a whole sound.

I guess the beginning of that was Return of the Mac. He's been on fire ever since.

as dope as all these latest Alc joints have been i still cant get into Russian Roulette

Really? I love RR and this album is like a more polished and intricate continuation of that..
There are plenty of beats on RR that can be re-arranged for more dope dope tracks..Hopefully Roc makes use of that with the guidance of Al-Chem.

I think Nas lives in LA now. I don't know if Alchemist is cool wit Tragedy or not but I think those two could put together a great album

Although I love this album, P stills throwing shot at the GAWD, so maybe that's why he avoids ALC. Which is dumb on Nas part, if he could be buddy buddy with the camel

All I know is everytime I hear these other rappers on ALC beats, with all due respect all I can is envision Nas doing them justice :ld:

Especially, those Covert Coup beats :ohlawd:

Sadly, I dont think Nas will ever do lo-fi music again. Streets Disciple was a double album of minimalist, back-to-basics shyt to varying results....since then he hasnt looked back and I think he wants to stay in the "big leagues" for as long as possible

whenever I see somebody's done something bad on the news or in the media.... like that billionaire choking that food tv chef wife of his in public... the thread's in TLR, nikkas....

or like that Bath Salt shyt from last year... or whatever....

I fully expect the cops or somebody to find "IMDKV" tattooed on their scalps or something.
