it sounds really, really, really lazy & ish. not imPressed. both Producer and raPPer need to wake the fuK uP coz this is coma inducing muzaK!!!!!!!!

It's tough man. It sound to me at least, like the album was either done at two points, or that it was clearly two batches of beats...

Definitely some Russian Roulette session joints in here. I hear shyt like IMDKV and think god damn I want the whole album to sound like this. On the other hand, Al's 2011 and beyond style is done really really well on some joints.

Prodigy is what he is, I can't criticism him. he's been rapping this way for over 10 years now, I don't know what the fukk people expect from him. To me trying to pick out differences in prodigy overall between HNIC 2, ROTM, POT80's, and this is hard as hell to do. Besides a random verse or song here and there, he sounds the same on all his solo work.

A couple I can't rock with, a bunch are above average, and a few are great. This is pretty much what I expected from these dudes in 2013. Sound-wise this is like a cross between No Idols and Rare Chandeliers.

BTW I just need to say something I was thinking about when people shyt on Alchemist for working with B and C level rappers nowadays...

Let's look at some of the top producers of all time and of present day and look at some of the rappers they've worked with. Not saying anyone sucks, but most of these names at the very least aren't popular.

Pete Rock did a fukking album with INI and another one with Edo G.

DJ Premier did an entire album with Group Home...and had his last album filled with guest spots from NYGz, Blaq Poet, Khaleel, and Nick Javas.

Dilla produced heavily for Frank n Dank, Guilty Simpson, Roc C, Oh No

Kanye had artists like Really Doe and GLC. Pharrell had FamLay and Roscoe P Coldchain.

Nottz did albums with DMP, Asher Roth, and Rah Digga. Jake One did albums with Brother Ali. RZA did shyt for Wu affiliates that were awful. 9th Wonder's Jamla crew is pretty much under the rader.

I can go on forever about great producers, legends, that have worked with either/both unpopular rappers and terrible rappers. Mostly because they chose to, and not because a label or anyone forced them to.

The best music comes out when it's organic. That's why I love it when Alchemist works with a wide variety of emcees. Each album is tailor made to fit them.
