Sounds like extortion to me. The only difference I see between Nas and Prodigy is that Nas was smart enough to stop hangin in QB and Prodigy wasnt. He tried to help too many of them dudes and it backfired

As far as extortion goes, probably both Nas and P got extorted at various times. There was a time when it was VERY common rumour that Nas had to buy his QB chain back multiple times. Don't know if its fact or not but it was very common rumour. Main difference between Nas and P however is more or less:
Nas uses street dudes to keep the extortioners off his back, and then he dissassociates himself from the street dudes before they can start extorting him
Prodigy actually tries to be friends with these dudes and they eventually start extorting him
Nas snakery is just on a way way more advanced level... Nas is like every crazed QB villians best friend the first six months they out of prison. Then by the time they get their feet under them and start plotting dude changes his numbers and disappears on them... while running with some new fresh out of jail QB villians...

It's not even like that. Nas tried to put a lot of guys on, Tragedy said it in one of his DVD's how when Nas first got on people were always asking him to put them on and asking for money. After, awhile that shyt gets tiring you tired of nikkas begging you and shyt and you stop going around. Then, those nikkas feel a certain type of way because you not going to the hood no more because they feel that because they were childhood friends Nas owes them a bunch of favors.
When Mega came out Nas gave him $100 dollars which is really nothing to complain about, Nas was the first nikka to mention Mega on One Love, he put him on Affirmative Action, he put him on with The Firm. Thing is label politics got in the way between Mega and Stoute, and Mega was ousted. We know Mega prefers the independent route, Nas probably felt angry that he tried to put Mega on but he refused to sign with Trackmasters so he wasted his time. A lot of these guys like Mega, Capone and Lakey were first mentioned on wax by Nas, he tried to put on Mega and Nature, he put on the original Bravehearts, family members like Jungle and Nashawn. He made a QB album, just like P made a QB movie. I know AZ not from QB but Nas put him on as well.
No matter how much you help these nikkas they want more.
