Dj Shox or DJ rock or whatever his name was from the og Ruff Ryders camp was basically a cheap ass version of Swizz Beatz. He used to do beats for Big Punisher and Jin back in the day.

Fukk dj must-turd.

He took an entire regions sound, ran with it, cheapened it and gave zero credits.

People would occasionally bite production styles for a song or two, but never in the course of rap/hiphop has somebody drove it to the magnitude mustard has.

.

Yg jacked Mistah Fab's style, and DJ Mustard's beats sounds exactly like some Mac Dre, Thizz Nation hyphy shyt

rumored that Dr Dre took Cold 187um (from above the law) production style (most notably on black Mafia life album) with the high synthesizers and used it for The Chronic

I don't want to believe it and I kind of still don't but Black Mafia Life sounds exactly like The Chronic. And it was released months prior

:ohhh:

There's some Adrian Younge productions that sound like RZA

Da Internz have beats that sound like Bangladesh's

Polow Da Don has beats (specifically the drums) that sound like Timbaland

Focus has beats that sound like Dr. Dre's. Same goes for Denaun Porter.

Scott Storch has beats that sound like Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Lil' Jon beats.
I only know Bangladesh from his YMCBM ish, what's his background?

Wasn't Polow Da Don the one who got busted using some daw default sounds or loops or something?

I could see people using Tim's drums, they are nice. In this modern age people use other producers drum kits to make their beats so I could see that happening quite often.

They are credited with creating G funk. Suge admitted in a TMZ interview that DR would get people's demos that they sent in and take what they were doing. Ruthless which Above the Law was on and DR were also rivals at that time. Not really hard to believe.

I'll say this just for the record. I have inadvertently made beats that sound like other producers. Oddly enough one of them is Dre as well. Why? idk. I don't think this is always the producer's intent to try and sound like someone else though.

Bangladesh started with Ludacris and DTP. He produced Luda's early singles and did several tracks on Luda's first two albums.

Yeah, Polow was busted for using stock sounds for some of his biggest hits.
