Their plan (best case scenario) has always been to get what we need from the party we vote for damn near 90% of the time anyway. The goal was never to sit out. Even in 2018 Yvette had shows about Stacy Abrams. Saying she disagreed with her stance in immigration but Abrams would still be way better for black folks than Brian Kemp (medicaid expansion, voting rights and other things the Governor impacts).

All the underlying factors and realities surrounding Yvette and Tone have been the same and were there when everyone was "on code" and copacetic. This is nothing but brand maneuvering on their part to sustain their audience. The audience is the movement in their mind and Tone stepped on that when he came for Tariq and FBA. That's all this is. All the small differences and mitigating factors they are supposedly "uncovering" wouldn't have been an issue had Tone and Yvette played nice with their brand.
