Progressives would have way more power if they stuck with economics.

The establishment dems and the donors are the main things keeping progressives down at this moment. Get rid of Citzens United and see how fair the game is

OP is so right. Democrats have been hijacked promoting an agenda even hardcore liberals on TYT are starting to look side eyed at.

No one should feel sorry for Progressives

They took the topics talked about 1950/60s Civil Rights movement meant specifically for the Black struggle and b*stardized it to fit their narrative
And were also the ones who changed the narrative from tangible Economic progress to worshipping Political figureheads

Only have themselves to blame

The rich have been getting handouts for the past decade. This is something progressives should be dominating message wise. If you break down how wealth his been distributed over the past 20 years. It’s almost as if they have to literally take people to school.
They do this all the time and it doesn't change anything. They still just see it as redistributing wealth to "those Blacks and others."

I remember when the progressives were focused on raising minimum wage, free Healthcare, and free school. They use to shyt on liberals for constantly playing identity politics.

Now progressives are the ones constantly playing identity politics.
They're still pushing for this. And all politics are identity politics.

That would require them to actually study and to be able to debate their arguments with facts and numbers. Most of these politicians arent that smart. Having that be the platform would negate alot of their most charasmatic "talent". Who have the best chance to win over voters who dont understand a thing about economics.

But you could always win based on nonsense,AND still focus on economics once in power. But they seem focused on identity politics their entire stay in office

Elizabeth Warren tried this. Hell, Hillary Clinton tried this, but people didn't like it. The voting public doesn't like wonks. We live in a country where the right have successfully brainwashed people into believing being educated [on a subject] is a bad thing.

If broke ass white people are getting good pay and benefits from progressive programs they wont care.

Just like they all quietly stfu about Obama care once they realized their dusty kids could get covered for cheap.

You must not know many broke ass white people :mjlol:

They still want to overturn Obamacare, they just can't right now.

That's why I decided to go into Accounting. Tech and all these industries change, but money relatively stays the same. It's just a matter of where it's going. But if you can understand money, you'll never be broke again
Understanding money ain’t enough. Plenty of people understand money but are still broke. If you can understand and control your emotions is a better gauge of you being broke or not. It’s more behavioral than technical knowledge holding people back.

Big co-sign.

By abandoning class for identity politics they have also completely gifted the working class to the right.
Identity politics is why white people are stalling on all this shyt. It’s not black voters. Black people are already on board. Class reductionists never want to be accountable for their shyt and ask why white voters are the wall to overcome for this. Look at who is voting for what!
