Circled back to this and beat it.
7.5/10 game. I'd say it's a must have for your PS5 collection, but not something you have to stop everything your doing and buy immediately.
Story was mid. The map needs to be accessible with a single button press instead of opening the menu and hitting R1 twice every time. Fast travel could be better especially when you want to go to a particular location between zones.
Music and sound design is top tier.
Combat is fantastic and progression is great as well.
I wish there was a bit more enemy variety but the designs were really unique and well overall.
The last 2 boss fights were tedious as hell. The difficulty spike really made those feel like a chore. I had to look up a build online to beat them.
I give this game high praise for switching up the gameplay formula from time to time. It's dope that it has areas that feel like Bayonetta but then they have some areas where you can't use the sword and it turns into a 3rd person shooter. Some of the puzzles were really engaging as well.
Really a shame that for a single player action/adventure, the story was so weak.
