i always liked Pat's version too... it was one of my favorite tracks, used to play it on repeat.

I remember hearing UGK & outkast's version for the first time like "these a-list nikkas done stole project pat's beat....."

Bruh...it flipped my wig how it was NO difference whatsoever in the beats minus Dre's part having no drums. It took me a while to get over that shyt.

That might've been my first time realizing that producers sell the same beat to more than one artist sometimes. I couldn't believe it.

So if you hear a hit record recycling a beat verbatim that's already well-embedded in your mind it's not gonna throw you off? Especially if you really dug the first song.

Paul talked about this and said that Sony wouldn't let them be on the track and only produce it and it was Paul and Juicy idea to begin with. Even though the beat is the same the songs sound completely different and they bring different vibes to both tracks. I still have my original copy of Ghetty Green just to let you know.

Personally, I always felt like Project Pat's signature flow fit perfectly into the pocket of this beat. When I look past the big names on International Player's Anthem, Pat's version, while more simple, is just doper IMO. Nobody on IPA rode the beat better than him. (Pimp C is a close 2nd)

Pat 1st 3 albums are classics. That Layin Da Smack Down cover is straight fukkery and comedy.

i would agree. its certainly the best produced use of the sample. im guessing alot of peoples introduction were through the ugk song though. which was so epic. so, i understand them voting that way.

Nah International Players Anthem is one of the best songs of all times.
I wonder how they reached the conclusion to sell the beat again, 5 years later.

Bruh u need 2 go back and mention big boi in your post that fool absolutely bodied that track. Easily the best verse
