It changed the game the same way PlayStation Home did.
How long was ps home running? How long was project spark running? what was the user base looking like for both? I know the answers but maybe you should look for yourself

Hi Neogaf Jr, Courtdog here to drop some knowledge... I'll address this guy to answer the questions and set the record straight. Kinect is awesome but ultimately it's just a fancy camera/MIC combo. Why does this device threaten you Sony fanboys so much? You have an inferior camera and loved it. So you sound dumb as hell talking about it. Xbox: Next subject :win:

Always connected internet :snoop:
Tell me bruh, is your PlayStation connected to your homes Wi-Fi? When do you take your Wi-Fi password off your PlayStation? Or do you just turn it on and go?

The cloud: The A.I. In games that use it kills anything that doesn't. Forza franchise makes great use of it, but you're too busy hating on real techniques that had advanced gaming, actually moved gaming forward and you're too stupid to realize or fully understand what is happening behind the pretty still Gif's you worship

Finally, project spark. The reality is most people on this forum didn't play the game. Most in this thread ate just happy a game on the competitions console wasn't a commercial success. That's what life is like huh? I've actually played it, put some time into it, and it's an amazing game that succeeded in bringing to tools to the gamers to make there own interactive games complete with voice and motion caption abilities via the Kinect. The reason the game failed is because it's too advanced for the average gamer. Little big planet sounded good too but ultimately the community didn't really wow people outside of a few. Project spark had great user created games, it just takes time to find, and if you was Tu create? Well, how long does a real game take to make? Months? Years? This game required your spare time and that is why the idea failed because we as gamers just assume enough people would dedicate themselves to creating great shyt. I made a game for my girlfriend at the time and she loved it. The possibilities were endless.

The game will still work, just the online servers won't after August. This game may not make it to the future but the cloud? Crackdown 3 is looking :wow: And Smooth 3D is still tearing up the tracks in Forza, Titanfall 2 is still being dumbed down on ps4. Xbox 2 can still do 5k gaming but who cares. The games are what matters people. Wake up...

they both had the same impact. both are dead now and if you hadn't heard about them at their respective times now you wouldn't know either existed, Hell I had a PS3 since launch and I heard about PS Home and never actually used it. The next time I heard anything about it was when they were shutting it down.

PS Home was absolute trash and it's funny how the time changes, but people don't.

A similar thread like this was made about PS Home on SOHH and lots of people took a shyt on it as a result of it's failure.

The most I remember out of the weird PS3 features was Life with PlayStation:

Who made more cash? What lasted longer on its respective console? Don't try to compare apples and dookie

Comparing two games & calling them both dead is irrelevant when one was out for 2 and the other was out for 6+

Home was around for most of ps3s lifecycle and brought in revenue year after year.. You cannot say the same for spark on Xbone. Sorry.

Bruh :snoop: You are a strong reason why this place is.. Not good :snoop:
Imo, you're a moron. Smooth 3D was just like me, go look up his post because you clearly didn't know the guy.

Now the topic was the cloud, and while you spent countless hours stanning consoles you don't even care to understand it's sad and comical you don't even know what the cloud can and does do. Forza is the first game to take advantage of the cloud. It copies your playing style, then has a digital version of you driving online at all times. You even earn digital cash for it. If smooth 3D is on your friends list his ghost car is still out there competing in his likeness. So how am I disrespecting him? He called for a truce because he was tired of dealing with dumbass Sony fanboys who are clueless to the things they hate on. You have just proven that fact yet again, but don't worry about it. This behavior has always been rewarded around here :francis:

Guess they were really working on Project Larry. :russ:
Mowgli, you been around for a while, a funny guy. But I must say it appears that you are falling off faster than a Sony first party studio :dame:

Bruh, one is a game. The other was a weirdo loser online hangout spot. And it failed, that's why they didn't bring it to the ps4. Project spark is a great tool to make your own games. Still is. It's not something gamers do, they wanna play more than they wanna create. Don't fault any gaming company for trying to bring us new ways to enjoy ourselves. The idea is too ambitious, it's not a dumb idea, and it's actually a really good product. So what are you accomplishing here really? Like, you not convincing anyone of anything because you are not educated enough to rationally speak on the topics at hand. Why not be more constructive with your time? G.E.D test are free if you look at the right places, it's not too late b-low, it's not too late :to:

This nikka talking all this shyt when all I stated was facts and numbers.. You said ps home failed.. but do you know how long it lasted compared to spark? And again who made more?

Answer those questions (with facts, not over-emotional opinion) and you'll see why it's silly to say home failed but spark didn't :yeshrug: no amount of essays or references to illiteracy are going to help your case here.

Only thing that I find ironic is how some of the people hyping this title up spent every opportunity to trash LBP when it was mentioned as a great exclusive for PS3. I'm sure most in this thread probably won't even buy this game

This is a totally different game. The only similarity with LBP is the user generated focus. LBP is a sidescroller platforming game. This can be used to make ANY type of game. Big difference there. Hell you can make a LBP game with project spark:ahh:

Why are you talking about Little Big Flopowski? Is LBP the first game ever to let you create your own shyt :stopitslime: Is comical that the world to you begins once you see it on sony. Uncharted isn't a Gears ripoff either right :umad:

This game creates entire worlds, LBP creates bullshyt levels at best. Final Fantasy 13 Versus is NEVER coming out on sony consoles. We about to make that ourselves on Xbox. And we'll remake Final Fantasy 7 while we at it :yeshrug:

Now get your furious ass up outta this thread and take your playstation exclusives with you :heh: Knack

You are comparing a game to something that wasn't a game. Why? Only you know :lolbron:

Did knack make more money than Amazon prime subscriptions via the PlayStation? If the answer is no I can assure you I didn't just make a point :snoop:

And you never played spark so you can't speak on it. That's a shame. It's too bad you're convinced it's not worth your time. Project spark = G.E.D. Examine to some people :manny:
Spark is all of that, but like I been saying. We gamers here, not game creators. Ambitious idea that failed on both consoles. You did appreciate LBP, and now you're console war hating on something that took LBP a step further. Odd, but by all means carry on :umad:

Spark is closer to a game than Knack is to Amazon subscription. :aicmon: you rather reach for these extreme comparisons than accept the facts :yeshrug: I understand it's easier but you needa understand why it makes you look like an idiot
