yes, plus trucks have other uses.

Where i live it snows pretty heavy, 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive isn't always enough, Need something with a reasonable clearance for the deep snow.
Plus some larger tires to maintain traction. If there is not enough room for you to get underneath your vehicle without jacking it up you likely can't handle serious snow.

also helpful to have a bed, i'm a homeowner, sometimes i need to replace a washer or dryer or buy some lumber for repairs and maintenance of my house. I have motorcycles i annually take in for service. Not need to rent a uhaul trailer each time.
and loading that kind of stuff into a suv (which is designed more like a station wagon) is usually more challenging if even possible

I knew it was gonna be this and if not I was ready to share it. German engineering is not a game. I saw a video where they put an pint of beer on the end of a tank and the tank started rolling... didn't lose a drop :ohhh:
