They actually have tried to scientifically prove it and failed..they've been breeding fruit flies for years, since fruit flies have like a month life span..so they put generations of fruit flies in different environments to see if they would evolve and adapt..none have..they've even became mutated and had deficiencies and died..so like over 1000s of generations none have evolved .

evolution comes from mutations in genes. If the mutation is advantageous then the host can live to pass the new gene to offspring. Had those mutations been beneficial then they would have seen evolution taking place

Ok. But there's a specific reason why curing a disease caused by a virus is very difficult to overcome.
