Depends on how they message and I'd be interested in what the polling for certain things are there. Gonna search that up.
I'd think healthcare and opioid epidemic/marijuana would be stuff to run on. I'd definitely NOT care to mention Trump. I don't think the DCCC cares to have a primary there cuz they're addicted to centrism.
Somebody like that Richard Ojeda cat looks like he'll get elected and the type of progressive that I could see gaining traction. The state hasn't been Republican for ever.
There are probably more informative interviews or podcasts dealing with this but this episode of Chapo Trap House was informative to me as far as WV politics and what might be happening over there.

Manchin wouldn't have won his state if he wasn't Republican lite that is the sad reality, West Virginia is increasingly becoming a very red state, there is no way a progarrisve can win it even if he ran on healthcare and other things you mentioned.

Expect more of these overblown hack pieces leading up to the blue tsunami, because these Republicans have absolutely nothing left, they completely sold out all of the “values” and “ethics” that they clutched thier pearls so tight to try and scare everybody with. Completely rejecting the Dems because of the DCCC (which is a wonky org to begin with) will really stick it to the party that is DESTROYING our fukking country. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water.

I'm more interested in allowing the Democratic constituents decide who they want before the DCCC throws money at anyone. Endorse whoever, save the funds for the person voters decide on. Add to that, the whole pressuring other candidates to leave races is something they need to knock off. Again, let the primaries happen and let the voters decide what principals they'll support. I don't care about the approach of "let's keep this cordial" which he posed in his second option but everything on the "I'd prefer you leave the race entirely" stuff isn't an approach I condone or support.
On the progressive side, they gotta stop saying "rigged" because it's allowing semantics. I'd call it "interference" because that extra funding and exposure is absolutely going to impact voter preference.
