Agreed. I guess my point is that the "left" is comprised of two ideologies which, at their core, are not compatible. Whereas the "right" is more conducive to comparability.

Both Socialism and Progressive Liberalism looks to the state to ensure liberty for all citizens, but disagree on what exactly that means.

I think in the current American left people are unaware of those differences and take Socialism to be simply a "more progressive" version of Progressivism. That debate loses the plot, though, and doesn't address why the left has been hopelessly divided since the beginning of modern mass politics; why "Bernie Bro's" would refuse to vote for Hillary....

Ultimately, I don't believe "Bernie Bro's" are actually Socialists (in the exact meaning the phrase), and I think they're hurting the cause of Progressive Liberalism by taking a moral stance that they don't necessarily understand, let alone believe in.
What don't Bernie Bros. understand or believe in?
Although they may differ ethics and values are a part of all professions.

I dont think Bernie Bros believe in this:
Socialism, social and economic doctrine that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources. According to the socialist view, individuals do not live or work in isolation but live in cooperation with one another. Furthermore, everything that people produce is in some sense a social product, and everyone who contributes to the production of a good is entitled to a share in it. Society as a whole, therefore, should own or at least control property for the benefit of all its members.

I believe that they're Progressive Liberals with a superiority complex, and a lack of understanding of politics.

I was referring to the 'moral stance that they don't necessarily understand', what is that supposed to mean?

I think we're talking past eachother.

The moral stance is what I linked. Precisely that private property of all sorts is theft from the social collective.

But no Dem thinks that not even Bernie Bros. They want to socialize services not private property.

I agree, but many of them advertise themselves as socialists. They aren't. And the sooner they accept that the eaier it will be for them to vote for "establishment" progressives who are the only progressives with any chance at winning elections.

No one advertises themselves as a socialist. Where are you even getting that? I would love an example.
And the split in the party is between progressives and the 'establishment'. There are no real 'establishment progressives', you're either one or the other.

‘Yes, I’m Running as a Socialist.’ Why Candidates Are Embracing the Label in 2018

Seattle Elects Socialist With PhD in Economics to City Council

Nearly Half Of Americans Would Vote For A Socialist For President

Meet Kshama Sawant. Seattle's newest city council member. A member of the Socialist party.

And, I think your point about progressives is wrong, but I don't see this heading anywhere where we agree with each other.
