There's a difference between being a 90s baby and growing up in the 90s. Mid 80s are 90s kids(and also have some late 80s influence). 90s babies were born in the 90s decade and grew up primarily in the 00s.

I agree. Thats why I hate when people argue about it. Its all about when you came of age or were influenced by. I was born in the 80s and my earliest memories are of TMNT as a kid and that was 89 at BEST. I grew up in the 90s. Everything I remember about toys, games, music, tv, movies etc is in the 90s. The term originally meant what decade you were born in back when people werent so influenced by pop culture but modern conversations regarding the two decades always is about the pop culture you grew up in.
