Prop bets have made me question the integrity of most games.

Motherfukker :what:

The reason why sports leagues come down on gambling so hard because people will stop watching if they think it’s rigged.

Why else’s would a nobody like Porter get banned for life. Anything that compromises the integrity of a sport is bad for business and consumer trust.
This is what we have all been told and many of us believe but is it really true. Every fan says it rigged when they lose. We have seen some blatant bullshyt. Some of that shyt is legendary and discussed as fact and yet fans keep tuning in. You can bet on WWE outcomes :mindblown:. I'm not sure its as cut and dry as you suggest.

The average salary in the NBA was $11.9M last year. Why risk your career over that lmao.

chances are the players doing it aren't in it to make money, they have a deep gambling debt themselves, with ''some bad people''

Cause nobody is betting 6 figures on roziers or Jontay porters minutes. Specially not if all your other bets are 5 bucks.

i think there are insiders on both sides. even without, some of those operations are more sophisticated and coordinated than we know. i heard some of those bets were very large, but if they are growing a network, they wont need to be.

Their systems are very sophisticated, and the penalties very steep.

You are risking a lifetime ban for 100k, and you are very likely to get caught. We talking you might be losing out on what 100 million for 100k?

And if your scheme is so sophisticated that it involves a large group of people, that are criminal masterminds with insiders. Obviously, there would be no difference between now, 2013, 2003, or 1993.

College games and shyt like that is another story though. Cause here you have 1. A lot of idiots, 2. Amateurs, 3. Broke people that will not become millionaires through sports
