You're basically saying "It may be harmful but I would rather it be legal". I mean you may be able to hold that position of some things but not on all obviously, and I hope I don't have to list deplorable things to convince you otherwise; slavery, pedophilia. Ultimately, its up to society to determine that which is acceptable.

Its not a strawman, if this becomes legal it becomes a very real possibility. If society condones women pursuing a career as a prostitute it is allowing young girls to aspire to become prostitutes. Irregardless of how parents raise their children, if society at large allows it then it becomes a viable option for the populace. I'm sure you've heard that saying of "society made me this way" or something like that.

Are you okay with a random person's random daughter making money off of sex legally? Sure, have at it. Its a individual act, not a macro-level green light.

The thing with me is that yall aren't thinking about the future implications of legalizing this. Along a broader degree, a community one, what places are more susceptible to being transformed legally into prostitute havens? You know the deal and if they ever had to legalize it dam sure isn't going to be at a time where you know who will be hit hardest. You may be alright with a shameless future like that but I'm not. And like its been mentioned in this thread. It doesn't detour the black market completely in any sense, it creates another problem of facilitating the supply not of legal prostitutes now but victims.

whats wrong with being an aspiring prostitute?

Some people like sex some people like money. How is this any different than any other transaction makes in one day? If it turns out to benefit each party i see no problem.

The fact of the matter is and where i think your argument falls apart is where you say it would create a black market if legalized. What you would actually be doing is taking away and making safer a portion of the already existing black market.

Government rule over its people, ideally, should be "if it doesnt hurt anyone else in the process then fair game"

People have no problem paying a stripper to get naked and tease them, but paying a woman to get naked and touch you is crossing the line:heh:
People have been conditioned by society to believe this crazy shyt and dont do any actual critical thinking. Its just like people that think weed should stay illegal but cant give a reason based in reality why :russ:
