Both the protests I went to were largely incident free. I doubt that had anything to do with good cops though, pigs here are probably the laziest I've seen in Florida though. Most of them are fat, sloppy, with short to non existent necks. I think they knew that if they popped shyt off without federal presence/more officers it would be ugly

I've seen both ends of the spectrum.

The first day of protests got pretty violent and I was shot with pepper balls and gassed, but ultimately that set the stage for more sustained protests.

I saw a bike cop get his bike taken from him and had to run to keep up with the other officers in their bikes :mjlol:

But I've also seen large gatherings of thousands of people go off without any issues and people were able to connect, organize, and find value in their beliefs knowing they're shared by others.

Very positive.

I've been to a lot here in Philly. I got a front row seat to all of the violence on day 1 man I've never seen cops get work like that in my life :whew:

The last protest I attended Stephen Jackson came and brought out one of Floyd's brothers. I teared up a few times I'm not gonna lie :to:

Overall I'm cautiously optimistic because while the protests are still happening albeit without media coverage, not much seems to be changing especially with the police teaming up with random vigilante cacs and stuff like that. Also the mayor and police chief got caught in a HUGE lie after NYT exposed them :scusthov:

Went to two more after that.

Seeing cops get dropped, helped some looters escape from undercovers, saw a pig fly :banderas: (someone hit a cop in their car)

I gotta admit we kinda roll our eyes when seeing shows of solidarity online but it hits different in person. The sheer amount of people, the chaos some times, the peace and unity others.

Its definitely an experience I'm glad I had. Most of my friends and family were like :gucci: when I said I was going out there on the first day

Went out a few weeks ago and it was incident free. People were cooling. It was weird being in downtown Dc and seeing tanks and boarded up buildings and no cars.

I went to a Black Lives Matter block Party this weekend and I left early because people were not wearing masks and a Karen showed up to yell at everyone and rant about Qanon shyt.

I wouldnt call what i attended a protest. it was very white, and very weird.
Thought that counts, i guess. Maybe.
I think that counts. Obviously there's a different experience, but you can't always control who shows up and where you live. Glad you go out there though. That said, there's a lot of white involvement in general with these. In NC, it's especially apparent in Raleigh.

Saw a black lives matter protests with almost all young white children :whew:

Our police chief went ahead and retired early after that article dropped about the use of Tear Gas and kettling protesters.

They had an emergency press conference and basically shifted all responsibility on the captain and fired him on the spot :unimpressed:

If you or anyone have a moment definitely checkout the article/video

Edit: I should add the original statements from both the mayor and chief were some BS about an officer being trapped in his car.
