Not saying I totally agree but you can like the culture & not eff with the people. Prime case is hip hop culture & white people. Most of them are culture vultures & can't stand us when it comes down to it
I'm aware of that, but the Japanese in the video I posted were not just looking up to the culture but black people in general; though with some stereotyping.
Also I think @Tommy Knocks or someone said black clubs are gaining popularity in Japan. IDK I can be wrong.

I appreciate Japan bringing attention to the US's hypocrisy. I just can't get the racist caricatures they've drawn over the years from my memory. Mr. Popo from DBZ comes to my mind first among others.
Not all of it is a fetish.. but just like anything else... much of it is patronizing if the people don't know any and dont really deal with black people.
I've witness 'cool' asian and white people do prejudice shyt... plus people grow out of the fads of 'others'
