He's whatever his listeners want him to be, that's the thing with music. This isn't an equation. If people feel him right now they feel him. People are releasing F grade work and getting love and you wanna be the nikka putting all his negative emotions into the B/C rapper. Being a contrarian for the sake of it is way cornier than being a kendrick nut hugger. He's actually making an effort to make cohesive songs with lyrics that are more than just a string of punchlines that you don't even have to follow, but he's the nikka that gets your panties in a bunch.
