Protesting isnt supposed to comfort people, but at the same time i hope this affecting those the protestors are going against, cause then its pointless.

Why does it matter if the media CONFIRMED his story
If said person is telling them that he is a PAROLE
That’s not something people will openly tell other people unless it’s a need to know basis
And if you’ve ever known somebody that got out/trying to change
You can tell in his sincerity that he wasn’t trying to go back to the bing
This form of protest isn’t even effective
Like somebody said in the twitter thread
Isn’t this causing more emissions to effect the ozone
Furthermore protesters of all forms need to start going to these politicians homes
Not a fukking interstate
One day somebody ain’t going to have the patience for this dumbshyt
And maximum overdrive
IYKYK
You can say that for any kind of protest. Like those going to those politicans homes can get shot by security out fear.

Myself and my own.
It was a climate change protest. I agree with the intent of the protest but I don't think its prudent to punish the average person trying to get to work. They should have protested in front of Joe Manchin's home or a power plant.
This. They should be bothering the people who are actually causing problems. The shyt in OP will just make people hate the protestors and make people be all in favor of laws and such that make it easier and more legal for regular people to be physical with the protestors. I'm surprised that some people don't realize that pissing off the people you want on your side is a terrible way to do things.

This has never been an effective organizing strategy in my opinion. There's no direct pressure on the politicians in this scenario, the people are the victims of this disruption, not those in power.

Imagine trying to drive home after a long day and you got kids in the car, and you just tryna get to the house. Then you see this bullsh*t :stopitslime:

Or like this dude, trying to avoid going back inside :snoop:
lol Bro, the civil rights movement? How do you think they protested? It was much more in your face and disruptive than this, they shut down entire buildings, roads, etc. Took beatings in the process too. If anything, King's approach to organized disruption should be the blueprint for all of these movements. Historically, the most successful movements have been the most disruptive. No one will hear you if you stand on the side of the road.

These guys are arms for white supremacy and law enforcement without even realizing it. These comments are no different than the comments made by "civil" white people during the civil rights movement. I can imagine these same people were clutching pearls during the protests in response to George Floyd's murder, the civil rights movement resulted in much more violence and much more property damage.

The state of the average citizen... :snoop:

I support and have attended protests but the kind that disrupt civilians that aren’t direct persecutors of the cause being protested against are always going to be divisive.

Backing up traffic to bring awareness to climate change doesn’t do anything other than piss people off because driving is a necessity and can be a matter of life (like the guy who ended up violating his parole) and death.

What if an ambulance carrying someone in need of urgent care gets caught in something like this? Are protestors just gonna shrug it off if someone dies?
