Prototype Biohazard Bundle Quietly Releases On Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Version Incoming?
Activision and Radical Entertainment have quietly re-released their super anti-hero games from last generation on Xbox One. Few details exist surrounding the re-release of the two Prototype games, as no official announcement was made leading up to the launch, but trophies and achievements leaked a couple weeks back hinting at such a release on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The Prototype Biohazard Bundle includes Prototype and Prototype 2, as well as the downloadable content for each title. The odd part about this bundle is that it appears to have very little (if any) in terms of visual upgrades. If the titles are remastered at all for Xbox One, the description doesn't mention anything about the effort, nor do the screenshots do much in way of demonstrating the upgrade.
The Prototype Biohazard Bundle is available now on Xbox One for $49.99 and, if the leaks from last month are true, will be available on PlayStation 4 at some point (the original leaks cite July 14 as a release date).
We've reached out to Activision for further information regarding this release, but did not immediately hear back. We will update this post if we hear back any additional pertinent information.

Our Take
The Prototype series has never been the most acclaimed in the industry, but I always felt the first one didn't receive the appreciation it deserved thanks to being released in close proximity to the superior Infamous on PS3.It does seem kind of weird for this to release in its original form when Xbox One was just recently announced to be receiving backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games later this year. Hopefully this doesn't mean that the original versions won't be ruled out for being made compatible with Xbox One.
