Y’all should’ve known this was coming lol, that’s why I don’t be wanting them to do reboots to childhood classics anymore because it’s always some agenda going on. Plus it’s Disney we’re talking about, y’all really shouldn’t be surprised.

The Proud Family always did had that one boy with the dyed short hair and the basketball shorts and the sweatband on his head whom I always thought was kinda sweet (he prolly was a limp wrist frfr) but one thing I respect about cartoons back in those days is that they never went OD with any of the “he/she is definitely gay” characters like Mr. Simmons from Hey Arnold or Mr. Ratburn from Arthur or that episode of the pink bunny and her cat gf from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Anyway, when it comes to this stuff, I just want the dialogue and plots to feel natural and organic. One of the things I hate with recent shows is how the dialogue sounds more like a Huffington post article than actual people talking.

In the defense of the show, I don't think these are the main characters.

But, I'm still tired of shows injecting "modern" characters into shows as if that by itself is supposed to speak it's quality.

For example; I don't give a fukk about the new Batman movie because Catwoman and Comish Gordon are played by "POCs" (I hate that word but both the actors are mixed and light skin).

I saw this earlier and wondered how long it’d take for a thread to get made here.

I’ve said this before, but shyt is changing and representation is a hot button issue in entertainment. LGBT characters are becoming, and are going to continue to become, more prevalent in TV and movies as media adapts to this. Just something you gotta learn to deal with.

But fukk it, so long as I’m on the topic of diversity and representation... can we finally talk about why every IR couple on TV, gay or otherwise, has to include a white person? That shyt annoys me way more than the fact that they’re gay.
