Have you played Far Cry 3? I didn't get deep into Tomb Raider, but it felt like they're cut from the exact same cloth even down to the skinning animals for supplies.

Oh fukk yeah, man. Far Cry 3 is a top 5 favorite of last gen for me. I agree. Its probably in how both games, like you say, use a skinning and hunting sort of upgrade system. Also in both the bow and arrow in a really great stealth weapon that really can't be replaced. It was my go to in both games, though a bit harder to use in FC3. Made using it solo when taking over bases all the more exciting.. shyts absolutely perfect wtih the stealth gameplay route. I compared the two all the time after playing Tomb Raider. I think FC3 is slightly better, mainly because I love how open it was from the jump and all the different shyt you can do throughout the game and random tombs and shyt you can stumble over.
Both are definitely AAA games though. Fantastic shyt.

Compared to the game it was in competition with? (Uncharted) Tomb Raider is ass
It did do a lot of things well, wasn't a horrible game.
Just didn't raise the bar any either.
I do believe part 2 has the most potential at being an epic game (over uncharted 4)
Mainly because Uncharted sort of hit its ceiling. Tomb Raider HOPEFULLY hasn't yet

It's good for nostalgia but it ran terribly. I don't know if it's been patched but it was so bad that I ended up trading mine in after a month or so. I might get it again tonight due to this sale. Anybody know how the dmc trilogy holds up?
