All console manufactures report numbers shipped (sold to retail partners) as consoles sold because they sell those consoles to retail partners.sony number is shipped or sold?

This is a flat out lie. We see reports on actual systems sold all the time.
What is everyone out to prove here? That MS makes a lot of money? I'm just curious because each side is always moving the goal post and I don't understand what point anyone is trying to make anymore.

Well the 360 is cheaper to make... real cheap now... and by charging for xbox live and all that content they make a killing. In addition to what they make off selling the xbox... They make another 250 million (at least) a year of subscriptions. So essentially Sony would have to destroy to them in sales to keep up. And the Kinect did numbers.
