So because they didn't play with words like Sony does the situation is different? One is an outrage and the other is totaly acceptable?

Xbox doesn't play games OFFLINE without the patch, PS4 does

As with any system if the firmware does not match up there is no guarantee that the games will work.

Sony will sidestep this fact to let you feel better about it, but a day one patch is a day one patch.

I bring up headsets because Sony did the same thing there. They told you "yeah Bluetooth headsets will work" and then to find out there's a bunch of caveats and you need a patch.

TLOU had a game crippling but that needed a patch to be fixed.

If you get your ps4 home day one and something doesn't work right. When you call customer service the first thing they will say is " did you download the patch yet"

It's the same thing. If your software is not updated there is no guarantee your game will work. It's the same for all consoles, Pcs, smartphone, and anything else you can think of.

After reading that, do you honestly think you won't be able to play OFFLINE without the patch? Be honest.

Note they said "you won't be able to play games ONLINE WITH OTHER PEOPLE until you download the patch"

Please tell me what you get from this article. I'm seeing it's obviously going to let people play offline without the patch.
