From a fiscal perspective I understand Sony's trepidation about covering Shenmue 3's production costs. It's a niche title. Shenmue 2 wasn't exactly a blockbuster on the Xbox. But having that old man come out and beg for money in broken ass english was a bad look.

I dont think so breh, its a win win. IF it funds (which it will) they look like heroes, see that theres fan interest, and might even match the funding.

If it doesnt, they just do like capcom and blame the lack of sequel on little fan interest.
