PS4 Eye Bundled In, Vita Remote Play Mandate

A trusted PlayStation 4 developer source with a proven track record for accuracy has told Digital Foundry that Sony has mandated Vita Remote Play for all upcoming PS4 games - except those that require the use of its bundled stereoscopic camera, the PS4 Eye.

how is this a bad thing or a conflicting strategy? You can simply remotely play all your games on Vita. The only ones that aren't required to have remote play are titles that require the PS Eye, and understandably so, since you would be unable to play PS Eye games without the PS Eye being there.

By forcing developers choose between a packaged-in peripheral and an expensive add-on, depending on which one developers choose, Sony will be undermining their own strategies/technologies.

I wouldn't say it's a bad thing for gamers. Just wasted time/resources for Sony/developers.

I don't have a vita or a desire to get one. I think the wii U proves that the novelty of having a second screen isn't really resonating with gamers. It's a great feature for vita owners, but I don't see anyone going out to buy a vita so they can use it with their ps4.

Seems like they are just trying to match features lists with Nintendo and Microsoft instead of looking for new ways to improve gaming experiences.

..it's a cool feature..nikkas is reaching for straws at this point tryna shyt on Sony like this is a bad thing when GAMERS been begging them to do this with the Vita since it came out basically...they are tryna put some actual use into their handheld finally and nikkas supposed to look at that as a bad thing now?..

Remote Play >>>>>>>>>>>> Xbox Glass too by the way. And I think Sony will have an app for people's tablet's phones as well.
