You can set your controller on sleep timers now, this is truly a new ageHow about turn off controller automatically when watching Netflix/Amazon. I'm tired of waking up to dead controllers.

fukk this update. I bought some nice surround sound headphones with a mic. Now after the update it said I can no longer use the mic.
Rest mode is a low power state. You're hearing a fan, which works to keep your console from overheating.
My fan is the most noticeable in rest mode if I'm downloading a title or an update.
Perhaps suspending an app works it, too.
Your console itself should be fine.
Console boots up super duper quick from rest mode now, whether or not you have an app suspended.
