You really can't future proof your ps4. the only upgrade you can do is add more storage which you are doing and there is nothing wrong with that. I never knew the games were that big though. ps3 games are usually like 2-10 gbs.
Yea sucks cause even if u get the disk it still takes up the same amount of hd space this gen

What brand should i cop that works if i want 2tb brehs?:lupe:
Samsung one on amazon is 95 bucks, works great
Where is everyone getting the 6tb from? Upped my storage this year and it's still not enough. Do the external drives work?
nope, can only save game saves, pics etc on external

Has anyone tried one of these Nyko Data Banks or this new one I'm looking at called the DongCoh Game Bar?

The Nyko Data Bank has bad reviews because it doesn't work with restmode, that's a no go:camby:

But this new one, they saying it tested to work with restmode up to 6TB:lupe:

Any brehs tried this?

I have the Nyko and it does work with rest mode. The rest mode issue is not because of the Nyko, its because of the PS4 software Rest mode does not fully work on any HDD that is more than 2TB. You can use 6TB and it works but you cant put it in rest mode or it will corrupt your hard drive.

I know the Nyko works up to 2TB with rest mode, but it makes it pointless when you can just directly install a 2TB drive in the PS4 itself. This DongCoh Game Bar in the OP claims that rest mode is tested and working up 6TB. Not being able to use rest mode is not an option to me.

The DongCoh maker is either lying or they have software in there that somehow solves that issue because Sony does not suggest putting any hDD more than 2tb in the PS4 and expect it to work with sleep mode..

Also 6tb is not pointless because it still works but you cant use sleep mode but you can turn the PS$ on and off normally.

There is a review up now saying rest mode works on their 4TB drive, but I'm going to wait for more reviews to pour in. 4TB is the size I'm going to buy because it's the best value.

Bought the Game Bar and installed it with this HDD

So far so good. I'll update on any changes. 4TB should get the job done:obama:

So what's the consensus so far? I'm looking to upgrade my storage but I've been hearing that the ps4 doesn't take the 4TB size. Also I've tried backing up the save info to an external drive but my ps can't read it (i have a Samsung one and Toshiba drive). Is the backup required if my save info is backed up online through PS plus? Thanks in advance
