ps4 media player help...

im not sure whats going on, but the media player no longer recognizes my exteranl hard drive. it worked fine when i first got it but now when connected it doesnt even show a usb device is there. ive had to break out my 360 to watch vids on it, which is ok but ps4 plays more codecs than 360.

has anyone experienced this ?

Yeah I just stopped using it, I play 90% of my media on xbone Bc my ps4 too finicky

This media player is fukking garbage. It worked fine last night, I usually stream from my phone to the PS4 but tonight that shyt isn't working at all. My files showup but nothing happens when I select a file. I tried rebooting the PS4, turning it off completely, rebooting my phone, deleting the media player app and redownloading and to no avail. It just doesn't do anything. Randomly a file may work and play but as soon as I try to select a different song it just pauses and doesn't do anything.

I used to stream show box to my Xbox 1 with no issues at all. PS4 never worked for me for streaming. Now I just use a Google Nexus player.

X1 is the ultimate streaming device

I use my X1 for TV more than anything else (I ain't complaining though...It's the shyt for TV watching )

Once that xfinity app hits the MS Store, it's game over

I use it because I want to play something while playing Uncharted online. Other devices are a no go since I'm already using the TV that the PC is connected to.
