PS4 Remote Play Confirmed To Work Over The Internet

The only reason it never happened because Sony blocked the feature. Technically, there is no reason that remote play couldn't be initiated between the PS3 and the PS Vita, however Sony has blocked it because they want the consumer to purchase 2 versions of the game (PS3 and Vita version) as opposed to just the PS3 version.

The developer has to make it compatible. With the PS4, the system does the work.

Another sony tactic. USED game policy. They allow used games right, yeah, they won't block them "ON a SYSTEM LEVEL"
When presses what that means they say "Developers are allowed the freedom to choose whoever they want to handle used games, we won't block them on a system level tho" aka they won't, but developers can.
