I hear game sales are at an all time low this quarter.

If I'm not mistaken I think that was just GameStop with the all time low and they still made over 2 billion but that decline was enough for them to shut down stores, oddly the decline in sales were used games (wtf) and the luke warm WiiU launch. If you factor in all the major retailers like WalMart, Best Buy etc and digital downloads game sales were actually pretty good.

Sony is selling off EVERYTHING! They are dumping stock left and right and are selling off buildings they are clearly preparing for something and that something seems more than likely the major loss they are going to take to move these PS4s for market distribution.

I'm trying to think what could Sony get away with in a basic console bundle and still demand $400. No hard drive, no dualshock or a wired one atleast with no share button, no camera. I'm puzzled as to how Sony is putting all this hardware under the hood and not charging $500 plus,.

Price of these things aren't important for the first few months , what is going to be important is how each other tries to revolutionize gaming. MS seems to be going according to plans/leaked documents towards Fortaleza (Augmented Reality), illumiroom, and kinect etc . Im interested to see what sony has if anything
