That's one thing I don't like about ps4, when I bought it, it was silent. now it routinely gets loud. Although its not as loud as my launch ps3, its still noticeable

Y'all live in America (I'm assuming) where you can return that shyt at minimal cost. Breh of mine tried that shyt, had it shipped down here(Caribbean) and pretty much unwrapped a brick.

Yeah specially when last gen the 360 was the loudest. Now it's the opposite. The only time my X1 makes sound from the fans it's when it's loading up a game I haven't played in a while but for like 3-5 secs.
Plug in the controller with usb and start it in safe mode
Try rebuilding the database and potentially backin up your saves then reinstalling the OS via USB if rebuilding doesn't work.
