Preorders started the same day on both here in the states.

Sony leads in preorders for games, you can ask any developer.
Sony preordered like 180 PS4 games
Too bad them orders won't be ready by launch

They dont account for people who plan to go all digital next Gen like me (Haven't pre-ordered a single game), and also I dont think they were able to get preorder numbers from MS store. The number could be huge or small, but we do know that people were able to reserve a day one edition from their couch and they got an achievement, so maybe somebody can do some detective work to see how many people have that achievement
