PS4/Xb1 Pre-ordering assistance/help thread

So I just now pre-ordered a PS4 on amazon, obviously it's the standard edition at this point.

What do you guys think are the chances that I'd end up getting it first day?
If slim, what would my next best option be as far as pre-orders go or whatever?
I'd really like to get it on day one.

Not until it ships like most credit cards, but they do a preauthorization just to make sure you got enough currently on your card.

Not good. Amazon said day one before 12pm pst is launch cutoff.

I know for a fact Ill have atleast 3 at Launch and 1 Xbox

I ordered from Amazon before the conference was even over so I'm good :busta:

But does anyone know if GameStop online charges full price up front? My homie wants to preorder but he doesn't have $500 to put down at the moment...

You need to leave a 100 deposit for each system, leave a $5 deposit if you want to preorder a game, and $5 if you want to preorder an extra controller.

I got one at 3:13AM this morning and I preordered the PS4 a bit after the Sony conference I think it was pass midnight close to 1AM when I put my preorder in.

Damn I ordered mine as soon as they put the page up that night right during the Sony conference. My page says launch but they didn't e-mail me, I'll contact them to confirm.

Both are the same.

The XBOX One might be a little different because the "Day One 2013" model will say that on the controller apparently.

Just one model at $399. Ordering a launch system just means you made it in time to get the first stock and a release day delivery. A standard order of the PS4 means there's no guarantee you'll get it on time so if they run out before you get yours you'll have to wait till Amazon gets their next batch of PS4s.
