it doesnt say on my amazon order either way, i dont remember picking a launch edition though

i guess that means i wont get one at launch? was anyone able to preorder launch?

If you ordered the night of the 399 announcement or sometime early yesterday you probably got launch. At the time it didn't say launch, they didn't put different skus up until the original PS4 (didnt say launch but thats what it is now) sold out.

Go to Amazon, login to your page then click on standard and launch. A yellow box will come up at the top of one of the two saying you ordered this item on whatever date June 2013.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to drop in and clear up some confusion we've seen in this thread.

There is no difference between the consoles included in the launch edition and the standard edition. Due to high demand, we can't guarantee Release-Date Delivery on the standard edition. Otherwise, the two editions are identical.

To verify which console you have, go to the product pages while signed into your account. There will be a pale yellow bar at the top of one of the pages that says "Instant Order Update for [Your name here]. You purchased this item on June X, 2013. View this order." If this is on the launch edition page, your order is eligible for Release-Date Delivery.

PS4 Launch Edition: PlayStation 4 Launch Edition
PS4 Standard Edition: PlayStation 4 Standard Edition
