Hate to say it, but from my understanding, the music business (and sport & entertainment business in general, and alot of times even regular 9-5 jobs) is all about nepotism. I'd say 80-90% of the artist who get the spotlight has a family member who worked in it/were an artist or had their
manager who had it. Thats the way it goes.
But what most do is not tell us that its really how they got in becuz then it comes off as unorganic & destroys that "come-up" story & credibility that especially rappers need.
Some would argue that today might be different cuz of the viral days, which possibly is true, but to really get in the game is another story.
