lol rap a lot?

I'm saying that's almost as bad as Bad Boy. Ro left rap a lot b/c of the bullshyt.
I dont see whats so bad signing with Jeezy though. It ain't like Gibbs waits on him in order to drop material and he's stated this a bunch of times. Hell he has 4 projects in the works right now with various artists and dropped one of the best releases last year with A Cold Day In Hell and the Madlib EP. Even if he had an MMG type of push I don't think people would fukk with him b/c he aint gimmicky, speaks his mind and isn't industry friendly.

Him and Ro do have a song together. They performed it here in Houston.

But for starters.

Hes better off staying with Decon, Stones Throw or one of those reputable indie labels and dropping gems

He has zero mainstream appeal and his sh1t will only get watered-down on a major. Why bother?

I don't think MMG is the place...

Maybe Rap-a-lot

He reminds me of Zro

:heh: rap a lot is worse than cte at this point.

tde is a good fit for him honestly but he does need to get away from jeezy and the rest of his loud carriers.

The CTE deal isn't really stopping him from dropping music, he's still putting out free releases and side releases like the Madlib collabos on Stones Throw. If TDE is moving beyond just the Black Hippy crew that would be a good look but I don't know how the venture with Interscope changes things. One thing I will say bout TDE is they have no problem selling their material, more indy artists need to do the same, especially Gibbs cuz he's given away alot of shyt I would gladly given him some dough for.

It's not about stopping him from doing music

It's getting the music out there. I'm trying to put my nikkas onto Gibbs and they think talking about the Redskins

It's almost like he doesn't exist off the Internet

MMG he will at most be like Pill, both of them were as big when they joined their labels and both of them still lack the IT factor.

Glad you did this thread as I had no idea he was throwing shots out there. Last year had you asked me about Gibbs, I would have told you he's at the top of my list when it comes to new artists I'm anticipating a debut from. When I heard he signed to Jeezy, that was disappointing in itself, like damn I know the industry is in a bit of a drought, but Jeezy bruh?

To add insult to injury he's being a team player throwing shots at Ross. It's disturbing because you can't help but question these nikkaz brain cells. Like Freddie, did you not learn anything from Young Buck's shenanigans? He joined a team and just started randomly dissing other artists too. He even went so far as to stab someone to prove his loyalty to the team. Now that clown is about to 3 years and have absolutely NOTHING to come home to. IRS took everything and where's his former labelmates, his team? Where's that nicca he stabbed someone over? Remember how much Young Buck used to kiss 50's ass on record? "The General!" "I'm the cleanup man 50!" "I salute you!" I mean he did a whole lotta ass kissing and self dehumanizing behavior to prove his loyalty to The General and the label/brand. I can't help but wonder if Buck would have continued the brown-nosing had he known 50 would be as relevant Domino in a couple years?

Now we got Gangsta Gibbs, riding for another mediocre ass nikka on record. There's more dignity in being a janitor than a rapper at times.

Norfeast groovin…
More of the newer artists should be combining their efforts and doing work with each other as oppose to waiting to get a slave deal and the fame. Gibbs, Pill, Nipsey, Krit, G-Side, etc....they should be the new artist wave that brings the shift in subject matter in the rap game.

Gibbs was throwing shots at Ross (by name check Crushin Feelings) before coming to CTE though. It ain't like he signed to Jeezy and started popping off like Buck to prove his loyalty. Buck was actually cool with a lot of artists at first and then got put on and started talking shyt about those same people trying to prove himself to 50. Their situations ain't nothing alike. Buck did a lot of dumb shyt to fukk himself. Gibbs is actually releasing quality music with other artists and isn't depending or waiting for Jeezy to create his own buzz. People were saying the same thing before A Cold Day In Hell dropped. I remember it got pushed back from its original date (was suppose to drop on his birthday) people were bad mouthing him and CTE but when it dropped he got nothing but praises. I'm patient and prefer quality over quantity anyway so I have no problem with his moves so far. He could learn a little humility or when to not comment on shyt but then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Didn't know that, appreciate the info. But yeah, he can definately take some lessons in humility. People can say what they want about Ross, but he paid his dues and deserves a measure of respect.
