Benzo addiction has led sooooo many people I know/knew into doing opiates and becoming heroin addicts. "Good" kids who came from good families and were captain of the soccer or football team.. Now heroine addicts. My ex boyfriend from years ago was one of them. Now he shoots dope. And robs people to fund his addiction. Last time I seen Him randomly (like a year or so ago) he was walking the street late at night lookin strung out.

Reason why I quit, I started fukkin around wit oxys then dope just a bit. One night I oded (off coke tho) then went into a detox and thought about what all my friends were or becoming and never touched a drug (other than weed) since

fukk all that garbage. There's nothing good that will come out of it.

I'm going to get my wisdom out in a few weeks and I'm gonna have to take something for anxiety and Im scared to take it/don't even want to

now I'm kinda fukked, idk what to take. I had ambien (in which I loved) but ran out. I guess I'll start back drinking again

Xanax is part of the benzo family like ativan and valium, its worse than any drug because of the duration of the withdrawal. Cold turkey Heroin is a week of hell, cold turkey benzo months of hell with permanent damage (like ringing in the ear) and seizure, that is if ur lucky, cus many people die.

There's a way to taper off with minimum withdrawal and that's slow tapering, I have been on ativan 1mg a day for 3 months and I'm gonna start my liquid titration taper this month. It should take me about 6 to 8 weeks.

Dam when i last went to rehab for xanax they tapered me off over 3 weeks with klonopin i thought that was gonna be too short of a taper especially the amount i was takin 10-14 mg a day at my worst and the day before i checked in to rehab i popped 49 mg or 24.5 xanax bars in about a 6 hour span and drank 2 32 oz bud lights with em im sooo grateful im alive

I've seen up close and personal what The Big H does to folks. Gonna call on general principal. But am in no way downplaying Xanax. Just hard to take the king down.
