I've seen some videos about people who lack one, and it made me wonder how the hell is that possible. I understand why it is hard for those of us who do to believe though, since an internal monologue is as natural to us as sleeping, eating, & crapping.
i read a book about intraverts and extraverts that said extraverts have this thing where if they have a thought in their head, that one thought just repeats until they bounce that thought off of another person. Think about if you ever been out in public and some random person walks up to you trying to talk for some reason. Or the amount of people you see always on the phone, like muhfukka be at the grocery store on the phone for an hour straight babbling about nothing all loud with they homegirl.

The hell is internal monologue? like a voice over in your head narrating your life to a random viewer in another galaxy? on some house of cards shyt?

Does it also mean that those with internal monologue sometimes turn to the unseen camera to speak to the audience:ohhh:
It’s thinking to yourself

Like…

Don’t go in there … turn around and go home

I don't believe that at all. I'd like to guess that the number is much smaller. Like 10 to 20% who don't have one.

its the difference between one guy in his head "damn, she got a phat ass"....then person with no internal monologue "DAMN, nikka YOU SEE HER shyt, BREH :damn:"loud out in the open.
Yeah

And like I said … the other side would be like: go in there stop being a p*ssy …

But thinking about it

I’ve seen enough old cartoons with the devil and angel on each shoulder to know that most people think this way …

The participants in the study were either NPC’s, robots or liars …

Why would you think that …

I’ve never met a black person who didn’t have one … but maybe it’s just me and the people I know ….
because people at the lower levels of the hierarchy of needs tend to never have enough peace to sit down and think to themselves in their head.

The people who do have developed internal monologues tend to be more successful regardless of race.

You can’t convince me a dude working as a wage slave struggling to pay their bills is having deep mental conversations in their heads, if so they’re definitely having the wrong conversation.

Then you still have one brother. The people they are talking about do not have one at all from what I have seen about the condition.

:jbhmm:

I found it impeding in social environments

But not having one when you're by yourself alone is kind of strange

What's the true difference between an inner monologue and thoughts in general?

We had a big thread on this last year. When a person does some stupid and you ask them why, then they said " I dunno"....Believe them. Ppl how here just reacting to shyt like a bot. More than have our species is running on autopilot which explains alot :francis:

Folks with internal monologue are in the minority.

I saw one that had an Asian woman talking about it. Essentially, she said she can not even think about things unless she actually says them. It seemed an impossibility to me, but that is what she said how her existence is. Kind of like her thinking and talking are linked, or she thinks it once she sees it on paper when reading it.

For a person who does not experience life like that, I think I am just incapable of conceiving it well enough to understand how it actually works. I just can't empathize at all with it.
