I think because the match up. Bone is great but their run was short and they only have one universal classic. PE and Tribe are iconic /legendary groups.

2 universal classics. which is about the same with these other groups, and their run was longer.

but youre right. it is because of the matchup. ive come to the realization that it was a class issue. the old guard didnt want their pillars kicked over on some "they can be great but they can never be better than *insert group*, even if they are better".

Bone had like a 13 year from 1994-2007. BTNHResurrection and Strength & Loyalty are overlooked in their catalog, but both albums are solid and extended their run. Thug World Order had some joints, but that album and Art of War are the low points of their catalog.

whats funny is, if they get a major label push, they could go gold today.

but people keep low-ballin them on here, claiming that their run was short. alot of that in the bone/epmd thread.

Rightfully so. I'm still wrapping my head around people trying to blanket state east 1999 is some classic. Handful of horrible beats on that jawn.

I fukk with Tribe so I'm not mad if they take it, PE for me certainly, but I like Tribe too, 1 of my close friends is huge on Tribe, I respect them a lot. PE to me though is even more my style, that miltant, conscious shyt, I like the production sound and uniqueness, Chuck's delivery and of course voice. PE were important and a big deal to me. I respect Chuck highly. Listen to PE very often. Even some of their latter albums are dope.

I just checked. EPMD beat Flash 30-12.
That's a pretty resounding victory.
And how were the EPMD votes in the Bone thread controversial? No one tagged 50 ladies room posters saying vote for EPMD. No one tagged an internet crew and said vote for EPMD.
