SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
The ones who deny and have roots there are idiots. The islands were literally slave colonies used to produce goods to enhance the wealth of whatever European nation laid claim to it at the time. But to be fair to Puerto Ricans they are not as unloving of their African heritage as Dominicans and Dominicans are really saying that because they don't want anyone to lump them in with Haitians...

Its funny cause the lighter a Caribbean Latino is, the more pro-Black they be irl :dead:

Puerto Rocs be either straight up white or light brown talking bout Africa and Tainos, Cubans are more racist and colorist but we got alot more Black Cubans and Mulattos then PR does... like a 60/40 split, and then DR is literally a country with only like 10 percent White people but be on some Grand Wizard mi no Black mi no cocolo shyt

But thats internal though, let one of these Mexicans or Peruvians call us a "mono" and see if he dont get his indigenous head split

From my experience, Puerto Ricans and Panamanians embrace more of their African heritage than Dominicans or other Hispanics
I agree. I worked at a place where the owner's son was dating this Dominican bird, she was bad but a :trash: human at the end of the day. One day I walk into one of the offices and she is in the middle of a racist, anti Hattain rant. I just stood there, tilted my head, squinted my eyes and listened. When she was done I looked her right in her ocular and said "You know you're a light skinned Haitian, right?"

I saw her soul leave her body and then just turned around and left. Last time I saw her she was 🍔 status and she ain't even have kids.

I said "spanish race" specifically to highlight their muttness. Tongue in cheek. They not my people so I am not obliged to give them any humanity

That's some fukked up shyt to say about your fellow humans. How would you feel if someone said and then acted upon such words about you and "your people"?

You should take the time to seriously consider the way you see the world and the people that you share it with for a relatively short period of time before you pass on to whatever comes next. Why would you poison yourself and others with such vitriol? 😢

It's funny because there's actually less unambiguously Black Ricans than there are Dominicans, Cubans, Panamanians, Brazilians, and Hondurans here in NYC.

The main Black Ricans I grew up around were half AA, half Jamaican, or half Dominican(if Afro-Dominican).

I feel like a lot of the Black population of Puerto Rican got phased out and blended in with the exception of Loiza. The Afro-Rican people I saw looked like Don Omar or someone like that whereas I've seen Black Latinos in other communities who looked Blacker than many AA's.

In fact, my parents to this day think that Panama and Honduras are West Indian countries and not Latin American ones because of how many Black Latinos they ran into from there.

It's true that Ricans definitely embrace their Blackness and Black roots more than most other Hispanics though. This includes both the darker and lighter ones.

As a Bx native I find such fraudulence upsetting. It's akin to stolen valor.

i at one time on SohH fell for @MegaTronBomb! shtick of daily new york troll threads

nevr did i think that 20 years later groups of people would cosplay as residents of the tristate in order to hate on it

*edit* stolen valor is exactly what it is
